Do you have more than one Christmas tree?

We keep our Christmas tree in the living room. In our last house, this was great because we had an open layout and could see it from the kitchen and family room. In this house, though, you can only see it if you're by the front door or staircase, or in the living room.

Though I LOVE spending time in the living room, my husband and kids prefer the family room. I'm thinking of getting another tree for in there.

Do you have more than one tree? We have an artificial tree now, so the second one would be artificial and probably smaller than the current one.

Yes. The sunroom (used as a den) always has a tree too - and we have had a tree in our (master) bedroom for many years. That is my favorite.

Yes, we have (cough) 4. The full size tree is in our living room. We can't see it unless we're in the living room, either. We have a small tree in the dining room where we spend a lot of the day. When our big tree became overrun with all of the gifted ornaments our kids got each year, I bought a small tree for each of their bedrooms. They really like them, and the big tree feels less cluttered this way.

We put a cut live tree in the LR, and I have a little fake 18" pre lit tree in the kitchen, it has the kids ornaments they made in school. The kids each cut a pine sapling from our woods (think exactly Charlie Brown tree) and they put this in their rooms, with tiny decorations they make and a strand of battery operated lights. It's cute!

Yes, several diff sizes and types.

One tree. It's in our living room, which we use (because it has the tv and the piano!)

I have 4 trees, 2 of them live. Yes, they're a PITA to decorate but I enjoy each one. My kids are still home and we entertain during the holiday season. So they are worth the effort at this time in my life. Later on, perhaps not.

Yes. A tall, slim artificial tree in the living room. A 3' artificial tree on the kitchen island. A 30" glass tree in the kitchen bay window over the sink.

And we'll pick up the live tree for the family room this weekend.

Plus there are 3 trees, each about 18" on the console table in the hall. All are decorated except for the glass tree.

We have a cluster of 4 artificial trees in the LR.

One of our neighbors has a fully decorated, 8-ft tree, fresh cut, in every room of the house. That's 8 trees. I'm not sure what their tradition is for gifts under the tree, but they can afford to have gifts under all the trees.

Yes. We have a full size live tree in our living room which is where family gathers on Christmas Eve and Christmas. The family room has a small 3 ft. live tree on top of a table as that's where we spend most time on a daily basis.

We have 4, all artificial as I'm, sadly, allergic to real ones. I break. out in hives if I touch them. The main one is in our living room. We call it "The Story of Us Tree". Beautiful, humble, with every Christmas ornament ever made by our two kids, gifted to us or inherited. Both our kids had artificial, narrow, tall trees in their bedrooms with ornaments they picked out on every family vacation. When our DS was married recently, I sent them all his ornaments. They now live in Georgia, so they've bought their own tree. DS's tree here has now morphed into the guest room tree, and is decorated with my collection of Cowboy ornaments, which works with the guest bedroom and bathroom decor. DD will be graduating from college next week and heading off to grad school in June. She still puts up her tree in her room. Someday she'll take hers to her new place. We also have a Native American tree in a far corner of our living room. We used to have a fifth tree in the family room that was decorated with Spanish ornaments, but that got to be just too many trees for me! So we're down to 4 and working towards three someday soon.

We have four up. A big 7.5' one in the living room. it's an artificial GE and quite realistic looking. I'd like to get nicer ones for in the rest of the house. The kids have smaller trees in their rooms and I put a one footer on the foyer buffet that's displaying me and DH's special ornaments from childhood. Sometimes these ornaments go on the big tree, it just depends how I decorate it that year. I also have another smaller tree in the attic that I bought decorated. Not my style anymore, but it's so pretty I can't bring myself to take it apart. I believe I'm finally going to donate it.

This is my first year with two trees, but only one up in the house. Went to cut live trees with my son and grandson. We cut 3 - one for them, one for me, one for another person. We cut them and put them in the back of my pick up truck, but when we went to unload my son's (the first one on our delivery route) there were only 2 trees in the truck, so apparently one blew out on the drive home :( hopefully, not in front of another car. I was sick at that possibility, but no way of knowing, since I have no idea when it came out, or why.

So I gave the others the two remaining trees and got myself another live tree. So technically I had two trees, but just one for now.

Only one this year and it's in the LR. In the past we have a 10 foot tree for the sunroom and a smaller tree for the FR. I'm too busy and too tired to do more than one this year.

Only one. I was simply shocked when I discovered (probably when I was 35 years old) that some people had more than one!

I downsized to a pencil tree this year and loaded it down with ornaments. One of my sons says my new small tree looks like this:

I have 3. 1 large in the great room, 1 table top in the office and 1 large in the screened in porch that is easily seen through the glass doors of the dining area. All are artificial. The more, the merrier! Definitely get another tree. Artificial is a 1 time exspence. Have the family make decorations for the family room tree:).

Thanks, everyone! I've decided I want at least a smallish one in the family room, and maybe one on our screened-in porch. Husband says "maybe next year..."

I love the idea of Charlie Brown christmas trees in my boys' rooms!

I put the ornaments on my tree today. Last year I didn't and it actually looked alright but today I got the boxes down and before I knew it I was unwrapping and hanging ornaments. For some reason it was a little more frustrating than usual and in fussing to hang them just right, I broke TWO favorite vintage ones. :( Whenever an ornament hits the wood floor there is total destruction - of the ornament that is. I was, and am, so sad. Had to make sure I swept up all the slivers so cats wouldn't get them in their paws. May look on Etsy to see if there is anything comparable to them. Some colors are more difficult to find than others. But I'm glad I decided to adorn this year.

    YEs. Three!

Yes, for the very reason you mention, we, a number of years ago, added a second tree for the family room. This year, the family room tree has the family ornaments (forever they were on the tree in the living room) and the living room tree has all vintage ornaments that hung on my mom and dad's tree for over 50 years. We also have a Charlie Brown tree that this year is set up in DH's office. If DH was decorating alone, he'd set up only the Charlie Brown tree!

We have two artificial trees, both totally different. Our main tree in our LR is 7' and has ornaments we've collected over the past 30+ years including the popcorn I strung for our first Christmas 34 years ago.

We have a 5' wirey tree in our dining room. Tend to entertain more during the holidays, so I love having a tree in the room. This one has one type of ornament (Williraye Studios). I'm guessing that at some point, this will become our only tree, as it's much more manageable.

Sure do! Great room, dining room, kitchen, powder toom, family room, master bedroom, and dd's bedroom. The 10 1/2' tree in the great room will have the gifts under it.

We have three. The main one is in the den, and there is a smaller, more rustic one in the kitchen/keeping room. Then I put a vintage silver one from the 60s on the mid stairway landing. There's a window up high there, and a cabinet below the window. The silver tree is up on the cabinet in the window. We also do a few lighted trees outside. We have a couple of big parties each year, so I really love doing the decorating.

We are down to two from four - our large one in the LR and my little feather tree in a niche in the hallway. We used to also have a tree for the kids in their game room and my pig tree with all of my pig ornaments on it.

We've had only one tree most years. After I started collecting vintage glass ornaments, I set up a smaller tree on the opposite side of the LR from the family tree, but when the grandkids came along I suspended that tradition. I let my kids do all the decorating, now. A couple of years ago I set up the vintage tree in the guest room, away from little hands, but the room is now being used by my DD, SIL, and newest grandson, so when I miss my pretty tree, I shall have to look at the pics I took then. I found a good deal on a vintage fish ornament a couple of months ago--I might just hang it somewhere in the kitchen, and be done!
