Living room help. Please read details. Any suggestions for this room would be great!

Need help with lauout and furniture ideas. l will move the couh away from the wall however just leave open space behind it or?I have a very modern looking cream almost white sectional that can also be used as a couch and 2 armless chairs. Would the couch and 2 chairs work with the brown sectional or would I be better off using a white sectional and getting accent chairs? Fireplace to the left and large window to the right. Entry to living room where I took the pic from. Rust/burnt orange curtains. Any help is appreciated!

I would the white sectional and get a couple printed chairs to bring color and get a area rug with the colors that will match your curtains you are going to purchase. put the sofa facing the fireplace. Maybe you could get a hutch or shelving case and a piece of art for that wall to fill it up even a plant in the corner or a large vase with sticks next to the artwork. Good luck.

The fireplace is what is called the "focal point" of the room, so the furniture should be placed to focus on this.

Without photos from other angles, difficult to provide more specific ideas. However, without painting the walls a darker colour, I would be concerned that the white sofa would look lost against pale walls and light gray stone fireplace.

However, it can work if you add lots of colour thru a rug, wall art, pillows on sofa
