I can't help you with this one but I have bought my grandchildren the "play table" model from Crate and Barrel/Land of Nod. When we took them to the store to buy, they all climbed easily onto the Felix chair (which wasn't my first choice but it was theirs) and rejected the straight leg chairs. The legs on both the table and the chairs are slightly splayed which give them stability that the straight legs don't provide.

I have never bothered with kid size furniture it is used for a short time and then you look for a place to store it
