Hi Nicole, I'm the designer who did this room, thank you for your kind comments. Those galvanized strips were found at Lowes as I was walking up and down the aisles searching for a cost effective way to hide the wire shelves (replacing altogether was not an option). These strips were in the fencing/gutter section and the lovely gentleman cut them for me right in the store. Can't remember the exact price but cheap, we're talking single digits. The 90 degree angle is deep enough for them to simply rest on the edge without falling off however heavy baskets resting on them provide reinforcement.
