At four and two they won't need a desk for many many years. Reevaluate when they enter middle school/jr high, and for now provide what they need right now! :)

HI -- Just remember kids grow up fast and if you are building in desks then do it now . But if not then do it once they start school.

My kids both use the desks in the room, for art projects, Minecraft, etc. Though, they do homework downstairs.

Both my boys liked having a desk in their rooms for various purposes, but homework was always done at the kitchen counter when they were young. As they got older, they used their beds for studying, but the desks were still used for other purposes.

We have three kids and currently there is only one desk in my girls bedroom. But none of them have homework or anything yet. We are building a home and will put desks in their new rooms but not built ins. I suspect when they steer getting homework and studying they will be in the kitchen anyway. But way down the road I want them to have a space in their rooms too.

We have a desk in the bedroom that my girls share..It never got used,,They use it for the boxes of trinkets and makeup:) All the homework is being done at the breakfast table (mine are in middle school and high school)

Junk collector. !!! Use the space for other storage. Homework will occur near you in the kitchen. .........until they go to college.
