Deciding on a Natural Fiber rug for the living room?

Hello! I love the look of a sisal or seagrass rug, however, I wish it was not as scratchy and rough! Of the three natural fibers - sisal, seagrass, jute - which is the softest while maintaining the clean look? Alternatively, what is a good alternative to achieve the look of a sisal rug without the rough texture?

Seagrass though it has an odor that some find offensive.

Buy and indoor outdoor rug in polypropylene that has the sisal appearance.

The natural fibres you mentioned all stain very easily, and definitely are scratchy. I recommend 100% wool in a sisal weave. It has the appearance of sisal but it feels wonderful and it's cleanable.
