I just ordered the Kitchenaid 36" range with griddle, and I'm having a hard (impossible) time finding a 36" vent that has enough CFMs (KA's pamphlet is uninformative, but it's my understanding that you need an extra 200 CFM to account for the griddle). I really want an insert instead of an under-cabinet, but maybe they don't make ones that go beyond 600 CFM?? In any case, what did you end up getting?

I have always been under the impression that all stainless looks similar enough to mix and match, although I'm not a pro and could certainly be wrong.

@emobergrobinson Get a vent a hood. Their "effective" CFMs are higher than the displayed/true CFM so you should be able to use a 600CFM no problem. I have one with a girdle and it works great. Going higher than 600CFM also unusually requires the use of makeup air so the 600CFM vent a hood will save you a lot of hassle.

griddle... not girdle
