At $1300 for a reglaze job, I would be looking at quotes for a replacement. Replacement will be somewhat more money, but that gives you the opportunity to update the plumbing plus you will know for sure that there aren't any water issues hiding behind the tile work.

The key issue to remember when comparing costs is to not let yourself get distracted by all the possibilities available for redoing the tub/tile work. Price out the tile work for a basic tile job, like 4x4 white ceramic, even if that wouldn't be what you would necessarily choose to do. If you choose to do the reglaze job, you will get a very basic looking tub and surround package.

The resurfacing material is quite noxious - you will want to leave the house for at least 24 hours and do not do this yourself. I would recommend you start over.
