Which color did you end up using and how do you like the result? I'm considering the same Linen White and Simply White combination.

A late reply, but in case someone else lands on this post, I've used Linen White with Simply White trim in numerous homes with great success. If you want to go one whiter, you could try Super White or Snowfall White in semi-gloss trim paint; Decorator's White felt a little too cool (although I am about to do that combo in a new house to match exisiting!). I use BM Aura Bath and Spa in Matte Finish for all walls (including baths in Matte) and have found it easy to scrub clean if needed; I've not used eggshell. In general, Simply White has read brighter than the card for me (in a nice crisp way), perhaps because it's in trim, so definitely paint out some samples of Simply White, Snowfall White, Super White, and Decorator's White.

I painted all the rooms in my house linen white. I like the way my art work looks against that backdrop and I wouldn't consider changing it. My house has hardwood floors in all rooms, and they were not stained when finished. They just have several coats of a water based polyurethane. And you can see it coming, all the wood work, baseboards, and trim is not stained. Yes, I see no problems with combining linen white with natural woodwork, but you must recognize it's a personal preference.

I used linen white in my mother's house with medium brown stained trim. It looked great! I had it in my own house in several rooms and all the trim was also linen. Now I'm considering using it again (after 15 years) with Simply white trim.
