I just bought this house last month and I need some help figureing out what to put on the wall. The house is very modern style and the room in question is for a Lounge area (it's not the great room). The ceilings are 25' tall, with cypress beams overhead. There is black wallpaper on the walls (rubber like), that I probably will eventually paint the same color just to hide the scuff marks. The wall in question you will see has 6 white markers/screw hole already in it, 3 on each side. This is where the previous owner had full-size bicycles mounted to the wall. The screw holes are mounted vertically, 4' apart. There's enough room to easily accommodate something 5' wide (or even wider) at all the screw holes, except for the top right one where it would hit the white duct if it was that wide. Opposite of this wall, above the 3 tv's, there is a large NYC Subway canvas picture that I like. I'm trying to figure out something to put back in place where these 6 screw holes are to cover them up, fill the wall, and match the subway picture. I've thought of maybe purchasing subway signs from a store online that reproduces New York City subway signs (example below) for the different lines. They are 5' wide, 1' tall. My hesitation with that would be that it would take two signs to fill each of the 6 spots, the top right spot wouldn't fit, and I'm not completely in love with just doing New York City. So then I thought about doing different ones (maybe even street signs) from around the country/world, but I'm having very little luck finding signs that are clean enough to hang up, let alone big enough. I'm completely open to ideas here. Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesn't have to be signs, I was just trying to think of something big enough that fit the same style of the room/house. Ideally I'd like something darker color with hint of other colors. I know it's hard to judge scale from these photos, but the center tv on the wall is a 70" tv if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
