i like the idea of black. ASCP doesn't have a deep black. She has graphite, which when coated w/a dark wax, is a deep charcoal color.

or, just do some light sanding, a deglosser and BM Advance glossy paint in a deep black.

if you must do chalk paint and want black, try this tip:

I was going to do charcoal but are you suggesting that I go true black?

Charcoal gray or glossy black would be nice. Can you change the lighting over the mirror?

I think a dark chocolate for the cabinets would be great. But you need to replace that dated mirror (I would hang two large framed mirrors under each lighting fixture) and repaint the room a more neutral color (it looks peach?). Remove that eucalyptus and the basket.

2 or 3. either will work. if two is enough light, that's fine (and cheaper). looks like the one you have sits a bit low on the mirror. (or the frame,,,you added the frame afterward, right?)
