backsplash height help

I think we have finally decided on our backsplash tiles. Going with 4x16 handmade look white subway with this blue/grey accent tile. We plan to put the accent on the bottom in about a 4in row and then on the opposite wall, we have a small space that will be all the accent. (This is the compromise we settled on for my wanting white and my husband wanting 'not boring') I guess I'm still a little worried about the accent strip, I thought I hated them, but then I saw one on the bottom and liked it and I really do like this tile that we picked. Plus, I expected the counter to be more 'wow factor'. it has blue flecks in it, but you really can't see them unless you look closely, so I feel like the kitchen is still very white.

Anyway, so onto the 'real' question. I had planned to put the backsplash all the way to the ceiling. There will be a stainless range hood and some floating shelves there. Then I thought, if it goes to the ceiling, it has to go over the window. However, I expected the cabinets to go right up to the window and they don't. So is it going to look weird to have a little strip of backsplash above and next to the window?

Thanks,

Megan
