Hi all, we are having our downspout extended into the ground and routed to where it will flow into the sidewalk (same as all our neighbors). We hope this gives us a 90% solution to all the runoff damage that you see in the pics. Beyond that, we are not a fan of the bushes. The tree overhead dumps TONS of leaves in the fall. So, easy maintenance design is preferred. We want to update the look of our yard/landscape on this side of our house. I've seen brick work but am having a hard time envisioning it here to match our old colonial house. Also, any ideas for around the steps? Once I have a design plan I'd like to include landscaping lights. PICTURES of any ideas are much appreciated!!
