I can't comment on those particular pieces, but I do have a cherry bed and dresser from the Grove collection in my kid's room. It's pretty nice quality--good wood, good assembly. It's solid wood, so if you're looking for bookmatched grain, this isn't what you want. In other words, it's as nice as it looks in the catalog, with no surprises. :)

Thanks, I looked on that site and actually have a 25 year old bedroom set by Vermont Furniture Designs and considered getting something by them. But the Vermont makers tended to be a bit too shaker and craftsman influenced and I wanted something that was definitely mid-century.

True, they lean that way. So do I so I found stuff I liked and, as I said, modifications (e.g., making bookcase wider, cherry on back, etc.) were very reasonable. Good luck.

Yes, I like the craftsman and shaker stuff too, but I really wanted something that screamed mid-century and the modern stuff from Vermont often is too close to Nakashima for me. Anyway the custom piece I'm having made turned out to be less expensive than many of the media cabinets/sideboards from Vermont Wood Studios.
