Weather proofing

I have been reading that these tiles tend to expand and contract with the weather. Are there any tiles that are not made of hardwood that would not have this problem? Some sort of manmade material like Trex decking?

The tiles are made of Ipea hardwood. Given that they are small slats with gaps between them, there is not a problem with expansion & contraction.

Love these tiles. What company were these tiles purchased from? We have a 1700 sq.ft area would these tiles work?

The manufacturer is Bison. As you might expect there are many factors to consider when specifying products for particular conditions. You should consult with an architect or contractor to confirm that these are appropriate for your situation. Good Luck!
