Hi, I've been sidelined on this remodel project due to the worst winter in recorded history. 63" of rain so far, but the good news is that I bought a good house. I need help modernizing the master bath. Attached is a picture of the actual floor plan from 1987 and I've taken some pictures as the bathroom is today. Notice the really tricky ceiling heights, weird windows and load bearing wall between toilet/shower and rest of bathroom. I'd like to replace the garden window with a larger, normal window and stick a tub in front of it. It has spectacular valley views and neighbors can't see in. Would it be a good idea to close off the door to the closet and put the double vanity there? Please excuse the closet mess, our new organizer is on order.
