First of all, congrats, your space looks stunning! Do you have a floor plan you can share with us?

Now you have a place for casual or business conversation where people actually face each other.

Where the current couches meet at 90 degrees, you can add a drum table either square or circular, and you can place a nice colorful vase perhaps or some other accessory.

To give more advice, I need to know the dimensions of the spaces. A dimensioned floor plan would be extremely helpful.

Unfortunately I don't have a floor plan right now, the space is roughly 4m x 5m so that's 13ft x 16ft

The fireplace is fake but we do want to keep it.

As for your ideas of placing a sectional against a wall in one of the corners (like the current picture), then it might be too far away from the tv as the room is relatively wide.

I'm assuming that you will select a larger TV for this room and hang it lower on the wall. Here is the recommended distance for viewing for TVs.

I don't think there's enough space on the left wall to hang a large TV as the entranceway is there. But if I hang the TV on the right wall, where would the sectional go since the fireplace is there?

very awkard space...TV appears to be in the wrong place and a sectional will likely create more issues...perhaps the TV moving to the opposite wall and a sofa on the wall where the TV currently is....another sofa in the front of the fire place if the space allows...fire place shouldnt be there but....

Here's a concept design. All dimensions must be verified before you purchase anything.

Where you have the TV is the best place for it. On the opposite wall, you'll have too much glare. You can bring your planned sectional to the middle of the room, so that part of it is opposite the fireplace. Behind the sectional, a dining space, play area for kids, or reading/conversation area with bookcases and chairs would work. If you don't have this already, get in an electrician to put in some floor outlets.

I would suggest moving the TV to the opposite wall and place your sectional opposite the TV. I think your sofa could meet the edge of your faux fireplace, thus creating a divider of sorts. I would add a different rug, a coffee table, side table on the short end of the sectional, a sofa/console table behind the sofa and maybe a nice tall plant in the corner near the window. Now, in the left over empty space I would add 2 matching chairs and maybe a small table to create a conversation area. You could also add a bookcase on the wall where the TV is in the photo.

I think dividing the room into 2 separate areas might make it a little more cozy. Good luck!
