Asclepias purpurascens - Purple Milkweed question

Would anyone know if this milkweed puts out runners like Common MW or are the roots more fibrous like Swamp?

I have a stalk of Purple coming up pretty much where I expected but about two-three feet away is another milkweed stalk that looks identical. I do have Common coming up all over but the leaves on this have a bit of purple coloring down the center vein. Does Common exhibit this coloring on the leaves on young stalks? These are about 20/24 inches high.

Anything I can do to know for certain or just be happy I have healthy milkweed! :-) I'd rather use the Common and allow the Purple to grow but in the end, I'll use whatever I have.

I've been feeding 27 Monarch cats, six now in chrysalides and the other cats at the stage where they're eating everything in sight! I've been removing lower leaves on the milkweed stalks and hoping the newly emerging stalks grow fast.
