How many bids/ Did you get separate bids for the electrical?

Hi! Some years ago; I remodel an entire apartment in Richmond area in SF! There are lots of bad contractors in SF. I would be careful and get references that are recent jobs done, get their licenses and bonding insurance. Call or go online to check that their license and insurance is still valid. Finally, check with the Better Business Bureau inquiries on your contractor(s). The best lead to get a great contractor is by asking around your neighborhood and/or friends and acquaintances that had work done on their bathrooms.

The price of $25K seems high to me but you will not really know unless you get four or five competing bids to see how they compare to one another. Choice the one in the middle is the way I go about it if I do not know anything about them and just guess. Never do that - guess! Base it on facts - like jobs they done recently - from acquaintance and friends. References from strangers are not that good since it could be a relative or a friend of the contractor!

Not high at all and in my Cola on the other coast it is low. My lowest bid for a 7x6 guest bath redo without electric needed was 28k. My 8x13 bath cost 65k to add.
