Caesarstone Noble Grey or Frosty Carrina w/ Gray Cabinets with Brass??

We are remodeling our kitchen in our new home and I am trying to determine which Caesarstone countertop will work best with the "look" of my dream kitchen (inspiration image below!) - hoping that this board can share any pictures or provide any advice. We want to do light gray cabinets with brass hardware and Royal Satin White marble subway tile that is primarily white with light streaks of gray - that will surround 2 huge arched windows... the kitchen gets tons of light, but also has a lot of countertop with a huge 94 inch long peninsula. I love the look of the Noble Grey but worried that it might clash with gray cabinets and the backsplash, but on the flip side, I'm concerned that Frosty Carrina is too white without a lot of visible veining or "personality" based on pictures I have seen online and the lighting in the warehouse. Any thoughts, pictures, words of wisdom???

Hi I was wondering the colour of the grey you used on the cabinets? Thanks :)

The photo above at the top is actually from Houzz. The designer wouldn’t respond to the color inquiries. I tried my best to replicate in our kitchen and bath, can send you this formula if you want it.

You can see how much it changes in different lighting and times of day.

Beautiful kitchen! What counter top did you choose?

We did Frosty Carrina in the kitchen and London Gray in the bathroom - both with the same color cabinets.

Your kitchen looks great Sarah! Are you happy with the Frosty Carrina? I'm about to make my final decision on that same countertop in the next couple of days. Wondering if you found it has enough personality for you. We are doing a stone feature around our oven/range so the designer we consulted suggested a quieter quartz like FC. There are so many pretty ones out there but she thought they would compete to much with the stone.

I really love it. It actually has much more personality than appeared when we saw the sample and even the slab.

Sarahdjennings, thank you so much! Your photos are making me really happy with this choice. I just made the decision yesterday afternoon. :)

Just noticed in one of your other pictures the beverage center, we have purchased the same or very similar one, are you happy with that as well?

The same backsplash? Love it. Get more compliments on that than anything.

I was referring to the beer\wine fridge. :)

Do you have to decide on the counter right now though? Why not get your kitchen to a stage where you need a counter and get some samples and decide then with more things in place.

    Love the beer/wine fridge too

Hi sarah - beautiful kitchen! I am also thinking about Frosty Carrina and trying to figure out backsplash options. Love yours. Would you mind sharing?

    Thanks!

What luck! We are considering very light grey cabinets with Frosty Carrina. Would you please share your paint formula?

    Your kitchen is gorgeous!

I'm obsessed with our backsplash tile and get so many compliments because it's such a unique size/shape of subway tile - not the standard 3x6. You can find it here: https://www.missionstonetile.com/essentials-4x5-Subway-Tile-Whisper-White-Glossy-p/astpfwwg4x5.htm

The accent tile above the bar/beverage center was special order (and expensive!!) - it's called Epinal - Thassos & Spain Grey from Jerusalem Heights. http://jerusalemheights.com/images/EP2.png

Thanks! I will definitely check out the Mission Stone & Tile option. I've looked at some of those beautiful and special stone mosaics and they are gorgeous and very spendy!! I am leaning towards a taupe cabinet color and yours looks to be a lovely grey on my monitor. If it is at all taupe-like in real life, I would also be interested in your formula.

Really appreciate you sharing the details on your gorgeous kitchen!

Mission Stone and Tile has that same subway in all different colors. Check those out too! There’s definitely no taupe undertone in the cabinets...

    Hi Sarah,
I’m wondering if you would be happy to share the colour of your grey cabinetry. I’m also choosing frosty Carrina benchtops with grey cabinetry. It’s a great combo!! Thanks in advance for your tip

Frosy Carrina is a warm color. A bit towards the vanilla. My kitchen at the moment has an overhead flourescent light which I thinks runs bluish, and the sample looked yellowish on my counter. That might not work with the pale grey. Do you have an island? I would use the nobel grey on that and a cooler off white quartz on the perimeter. The nobel grey won't look like your inspiration pic.

Hayley, it was a custom color... happy to send you the formula if you want to shoot me your contact info!

Hmm Sarah can I send you a private message with my contact details? I was trying to work out how to do that but no luck!

Love the size of the subway tile! I'm trying to track down 2x4s that aren't super pricey ($22/sq ft for off-white tile??) and I think I like that size even better.

Mission Stone and Tile has so many unique sizes and textures. They run about $11/sf.

Hayley, I’m out of town but will take a pic of the paint can when I’m back

sarahdjennings Can you post pics of your bathroom too? Thanks.

Here is bathroom with London Gray

    Thank you!

sarahdjennings What made you decide to go with London Gray instead of Nobel Gray?

Too much gray with cabinets and counter. Kitchen we used Frosty Carrina. I like how both turned out!

Ooo, that is my concern too. Do you think this looks too gray? It's Ikea lyrhyttan light gray cabs w/ nobel gray. Not great lighting in the Ikea store :P. The other color I was looking at was pure white, but I read some bad reviews about staining in that color and it looks a bit sterile to me (2nd pic). Have you had any issues with frosty

    carina?

I think there's enough contrast between those grays in the 1st pic, but really depends on the look you are going for and what your backsplash, paint, and hardware will look like. Any ideas about those? I actually really love the Frosty Carrina. I did not consider it until late in the game because I thought it was a little bland based on the sample, but when I saw the full slab, I changed my mind.

Oh forgot to address staining. No issues with staining - anything that has initially stained comes right out with liquid barkeepers friend.

Ooo, good to know about the Frosty Carrina b/c my initial thought was that it looked bland too.

I plan to do 3x9 subway tiles that have slightly uneven glazing so they catch more light than traditional subway tiles. I haven't picked paint yet. Any recs for this gray-ish color scheme? Something more white?

Maybe look at Benjamin Moore Intense White - it has a gray undertone but much lighter than those cabinets and Nobel Gray counter

    I'll check it out. Thanks!

@sarahdjennings i know this is an old post. Do you mind sharing your custom paint color you used on your cabinets? I can’t seem to find the perfect gray.
