To add, the vanity is a shaker style white cabinet. Going for a simple, transitional, clean look bathroom.

i would play off the green in the countertop and use that color for your niche accent.

wow, thank you BethH and JudyG! BethH, wood does look great with the Kashmir and white cabinets, but I fear that wood tile is too trendy. I do like that arabesque shape, though. Do you have the name of that tile? Judy G, I agree solid tile would keep it cleaner. Do you have the name of that hex tile? Do you think a white floor and gray tub surround would look better than gray floor and white surround? I figured white subway is a safe bet. I'm trying to keep things timeless for resale. Thanks again, you both are amazing!

Another quick question - do you think using marble in the niche (because it's white and gray I figured it would match) is a bad idea, i.e., is mixing granite and marble in one bathroom a bad idea? My other idea for the niche was a solid gray glass mosaic tile in a herringbone pattern.

ASavani, you got our names mixed up w/the tile, but glad you found it! you can do the granite and marble in the same bath as long as the tones and patterns play well together.
