So much bounty!

You make the prettiest boquets! So many roses! I bet it smells heavenly.

Do you use anything to help hold them in place like floral foam, a flower frog or do they stay on their own? Also, do you you use anything in the water? Thanks!

Thanks Sarah. Honestly that's not even a bouquet, just a flower bucket that I put the prepped/stripped stems in. :-)

I have taken 2 little seminar classes on making bouquets just for fun, but I really have no idea what I'm doing most of the time.

Through experience, I'm learning to put flowers together that last about the same amount of time when I do make bouquets though. I like to tie them with wire or tape when I give them away so they stay in the formation when the person puts them in their own vase.

I have one of those glass stem separators that goes over vases, but I never use it. That's fancy and most of the time I just want to bring them in so they don't fry outside. ;-)

They are already a bouquet, Cori Ann, and a yummy one, too. Who needs vases when a bucket will do for these beauties? I've never used glass or metal frogs, either, but once in a while do use the Oasis foam that holds water. It works well and keeps the blooms in place. I'm going to try your tip about taping or wiring the roses together--if I ever get enough blooms to make a bouquet. My first rose is finally blooming--the Canadian rose, Morden Sunrise. This rose basically dozes through the winter, and is ready to bloom like an eager kid before any of its mates have even woken up. Anyway, that bucket o' blooms is the most sumptuous thing. No MCAT needed for PT. Just the GRE to get in. Then of course boards later. I'm studying hard to finish all my prerequisites ... but also finding that I need distractions to enjoy life. The garden is great for that. Studying is so sedentary. I have started recording my own voice, saying my notes out loud, then playing it back while I do other things so I can manage my time better. We get a little more skilled about that as we age I think. :-)

Cori Ann your flowers are gorgeous and I enjoy reading your posts. Keep up the hard work with PT school. My daughter just graduated last year with her speech language pathology masters degree, all that hard work will eventually come to an end and you will be ready to graduate! Meanwhile I think you are very smart to take time out to garden so that you stay sane and not burn out to quickly.

Boncrow you must be so proud. Speech Therapists do amazing work. I had the privilege of volunteering as part of a rehab unit at a hospital and I was able to shadow Speech Therapists in addition to Occupational and Physical Therapists to learn more about the continuity of care and different aspects of rehabilitation. They have been some of the most compassionate and caring people I had the opportunity to work with.

Keep up with the good work Cori Ann! I thought GRE is only for business schools, and MCAT is for Med schools. Is it easier to get in as a part time student? Any tips please let me know. Thanks

There are no part time Physical Therapy (PT) programs that I know of. It's strange that the GRE is required and not the MCAT isn't it? Tips... Intern and volunteer at as many places as possible so you can learn from really being a part of the team instead of just doing school work and the bare minimum amount of volunteer/intern hours. It's a wonderful experience. Are you going back to school? It's challenging later in life, but I think life experiences actually bring a lot to each encounter, making us more valuable than when we are younger and less enriched. ;-)

Lol, I thought PT was for part time. Sorry about that. Someone in my family is going to take MCAT next year, I thought there was a shortcut to Med school. :-) I give you a lot of credit, you go Cori Ann!

Cori Ann yes I am very proud of my girl and the work she does, she is an amazing young lady. Good luck with school and keep posting your amazing roses. I know how grueling PT school can be and I admire you for being able to keep such a truly beautiful garden, it's inspiring to see such beauty!
