online mattress company feedback and reviews pls

Anyone have good things to say about any of the online mattress companies? I really dislike the hard sale tactic in stores so thought I would try online.

Tried Saatva, the mattress was not at all plush and was almost 2" higher than expected. It does seem like a good quality mattress, the height thing is a deal breaker and it was just to firm. It also took almost 10 days to arrive. Customer service has been great.

Next tried Nectar... clearly failed to look into them enough to realize all of their shipping delays and poor customer service. Never received it or my refund that I asked for several times because you have to call a different number that just disconnects due to the high volume.

Curious if anyone has positive feedback about any of the online mattress companies?

I may try one more before going back to the dreaded brick store.

Do you mean Like Bed in a box? it is funny. I bought one 6 yrs ago and then another one about 5 yrs ago. my MIL (80+) was just over for a 4 day weekend and was raving about how comfortable the mattress was. She wanted us to order one for her before she left so she could have it at home. Our Au pairs and step kids always said they were very comfortable too. One au pair also said it was the most comfortable bed she ever slept in. They have gone up in price though since we bought them :( I am sure just like everything else. they also have many models now, but I think we have the original.

I may try costco, but I am done with the online retailers.

Would advise anyone to avoid Nectar. Their website states the shipping date, yet they fail to ship or notify you of a delay and on other sites they say their shipping issues are resolved. Not from my experience.

When you try email you get a response that they are very busy and will get back to you at a later time, I was told approximately 3 days yet it has been a week and no response.

When you ask for a refund you get directed to a line with a voice mail. Have not had a return call after days of leaving messages.

If you call customer service you can immediately get thru for new sales, however when you say you are checking on a order or want a cancellation you are disconnected.

Looks like I will end up going thru my credit card to get a refund. Bummer..

I tried a Casper mattress. I only had it for two nights, and then had them come pick it up and take it away. Memory foam is not for me. Neither are the off-gassing smells that woke me up in the middle of the night or the aches and pains I had upon rising in the morning. I will say that the people at Casper were very nice and accommodating.

ETA: I received the Casper as a perk via my daughter's work, so I was never out of pocket.

We bought our latex bed on line. Love it and the company was great to work with www.sleepez.com

My son an DIL bought a Tuft & Needle mattress and like it a lot, made in AZ. I'm buying one for our other son as a house-warming and will probably get one for our second guest room.
