Lady of Shallot is huge in my garden. Like 10 ft. canes. Im growing her like a climber espaliered on a wire fence. Young Lycidas thus far is much smaller and kinda floppy. The only way I see them together here is to have LOS on a fence behind YL. Mine aren't currently together right now. I have YL in front of Abe Darby and Lichfield Angel. Your LOS may stay smaller if you have harsh winters. We only get a few hard freezes normally here.

At Chelsea they put 'Young L.' with golden yellow, lavender, and blushed whites.

Lilyfinch's pairing of 'Lady of S.' with 'Flamenco Rosita' (bright rose) is dynamite.

I try to think which roses I'd put in a bouquet. Or wear as a clothing combination.
