Do your dining room chairs to match your table.

I have a painted cream harvest table in a formal dining room and am not sure what kind of chairs to put with it. I was thinking of a beige linen chair with black legs. I could paint the table a dark grey or black? I have black accent tables in the living room.Alternatively i could go with a light weathered oak legged chair and leave the table cream. Please help

I like an alternative combination which would be the cream table with the linen and black chairs. Kind of a mix of the two photos below. Have you also searched houzz dining rooms for inspiration? You have a lot of options if you are considering painting the table and do not have chairs purchased yet.

I am chasing a sophisticated contemporary style. We have light washed oak floors and it is open to the kitchen. Kitchen is dove white cabinets and grey granite.Thank you.

I like your idea of beige linen chairs with black legs. Your contemporary feature could include the light fixture (drum style is always nice), rug and drapery with the timeless harvest table and linen chairs. Would help to see pictures of space you are working with.
