Open Concept - what kind of furniture and new color?

Recently remodeled, but having trouble deciding what furniture to put in open concept room. Room is 16' l x 12' w. Also, not fond of colors. Thinking the bottom wall should be a lighter blue and a new color on top wall. Counter top is Blue Pearl (blue, gray, black), floor is white, with a little brown in it. Cabinets are cherry. On holidays, put up resin tables for family meals. During year, space used to entertain friends. Existing table doesn't have to stay.

Hi! how many do you entertain? how do you entertain? what colors do you like? i would paint the wall all one color.

Curious about large cherry unit - does rest of your house have cherry features? If not, and this room has it, then repeat the cherry with a warmish paint on lower....more uniform...

Why not paint it all the same color?

Is this your dining room? Your floors have a pink cast in the photos so I wouldn't choose either of those colors for the walls. If you want a blue, I'd take it much grayer.
