We are fans of Delta and happen to know a lot about their products. The point of the Delta shower guide we wrote was to try and be helpful for people already searching for information on delta products. Our site carries many different brands, not just Delta. The thing is, many people we talked to were trying to design a bathroom were having trouble ordering the products that actually fit one another. We were getting asked over and over again different questions about delta valves, cartridges, and the way everything works together. We wrote the shower guide as a way to share this knowledge so people could figure out what they needed to order to make their bathroom design a reality. I fully admit I'm happy if someone orders something from our site but ultimately the guide was not written to plug Delta specifically. We shared it here on Houzz since many people designing a bathroom want to know things like what rough-in valve goes with what trim kit. And what are the differences between different Delta cartridges. I would argue that function is part of the design. It's not only about how everything looks but how useful and functional it is as well. Plus, if you are shopping and researching products online it's not fun to have the plumber show up and find you have the incorrect/incompatible parts. Whether you choose to order Delta or one of the many other great brands out there the information in our guide is actually pretty solid. It's specifically about Delta but that's because we found we got the most questions about Delta products. The knowledge is applicable to most brands of shower in general, although some of the specifics don't apply in all cases.

I prepared one a few years ago. I used to have a duffle bag filled with what I call the immediate essentials. Flashlight, batteries, portable radio, water, band-aids etc. Then i started thinking on abgrander wcale so in addition to the shuffle bag I have a blue trashcan on wheels (recycle can) in case i need to run on foot with it. Ok everyone calls me "overkill" so in that can i have enough to last at least 3 days, 3 weeks, or a month. Case of bottled water at the bottom, blanket, toilet paper, can foods that open without a can opener, matches, etc.... and most all i think it is important to have a whistle. You might have to blow to make some noise to help someone locate you.....ijs

Sarah - I just found this thread because I'm also considering Onixaa. I had Pental Quartz Lattice installed in our old apartment and lived with it for a few years before we sold the place. The quartz held up beautifully! We never had any issues with staining or pitting, and the Lattice is one of the "whitest" colors they have. I have no qualms about buying Pental Quartz again. I was surprised this time around that some of the Caesarstones I looked at were more expensive than Pental and much more "pixelated" looking. Last time, the Pental was the cutting edge of quartz technology and the closest thing to marble on the market (and the priciest of the the brands).
