Giving too much bloom boost, especially to a potted plant, can turn the soil toxic.

I have experienced this in high heat conditions with mature Celadines (similar to your picture). I increased watering but did not change my fertilizing routine, which does not contain bloom booster types.

There is also a possibility of thrips based upon some of the blooms having brown edges.

I am actually suspicious about that bloom boost the numbers or something like 8-65- 10....

I have been giving it this summer to my Michelia Alba which also has stopped giving me buds and normally it goes crazy when I give it fish emulsion and fertilizer so I think I will stop that bloom booster and go back to my 15 -30-15

Hmmmmm....that looks like C Stars "Pacific Pearl". If it is, that variety is notorious for not opening all of the way. If it is in a pot, try moving it to a spot that either gets morning sun only, or filtered light all day.

I experienced the problem last year. Five inflos and not a single flower. Have three inflos this year and the chutes were drying up and falling off just as last year. I have increased my watering over the past couple of weeks and they seem to be ready to bloom and have two additional inflos on other plants now. I was also using bloom booster, but stopped when I upped the watering. I'll keep you posted, but I think I was letting the soil get too dry before watering. Like KMS said above, mine have to be in pots so I stopped the bloom booster about four weeks ago.
