Ok so here is the deal my daughter's house has a toilet that after a remodel by Flip or Flop and amazingly it doesn't allow the door to open all the way. Could flip the door to the other side but the toilet would block it from opening. We only need about 3 inches to either have the door open 90 degrees or get the clearance to flip the door and have it clear the toilet. So its one of the newer elongated model toilets so the easy solution would be to put a more round one but my son-in-law is tall so that's not a great option. Thing is the screws that go into the toilet flange are 13.5 inches from the back of the wall and about 10 inches from the back of the toilet and there is 3 inches from back of toilet to wall. So I'd be looking for a toilet that has the flush pipe (not sure what you call where the water flushed out) more forward in the toilet design so that the front of the toilet is lid back as far as possible and allowing more clearance in front for the door.
