I am particularly drawn to blues for bedrooms and bathrooms, but that's nothing but opinion.

If you want to get rid of them, I suggest you pick a different color scheme and suggest it -- with photographs to your S.O. It's easier to convince someone "Look, let's go with this new idea" rather than "Let's ditch what we have, even though you think it's working fine".

Is it a bad baby blue or do you just not like pale blue walls in a bedroom? I love the picture above!

some peach or coral or even navy (i have a baby blue and white bedroom! Navy is my accent color)

i have a porcelain blue color actually called windowpane from sherwin williams in the bedroom with white woodwork, the furniture is the old yellow oak (sounds ugly but it's beautiful) white coverlet and pillows (and sheets), porcelain blue folded quilt, a black pillow that looks like needlepoint butterflies, other colors in the pillow are red,gold, and green so i have added green plants, a fern and birdsnest fern, and a deep red throw, a few family pics with black frames and mercury glass pots for the plants lots of windows and light, my favorite room in the house. all the ceilings in the house are also painted windowpane.....

you can..

-pile on blues. different shades of them. then you'll get the depth you probably feel is lacking. you can add white to it, touches of gold, or silver, or black, or brown..Layer it; it will read differently.

-you can expand into greens. as suggested earlier-blues and greens are fabulous together. actually I'd bring greens in any case. even if just plants.

-you can accent it with warm, deeper colors(as new-beginnings and zippity suggested)..depending on your exact shade-fucshia or coral might make your room sing. cool colors need a touch of warm. warm colors need a touch of cool, one doesn't need to always translate it very literally(since different materials also can give us impression of warm or cool)..but you can try it, and it just might turn to be your favorite room. Don't go overboard..keep one color as your main, another as a secondary one.

-I'm kinda sick of brown and blue myself..yet I-gradually- found out that adding some colors to it makes it more dimensional, less obvious, thus much more interesting scheme to explore..first I added amber..worked...touches of green-worked..touches of lilac-worked..now I'm into brown plus blue plus pale pink..still works lol

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions, keep 'em coming! I love all of the advice. I try lots of different bedspreads but haven't found anything yet, maybe a plain white with some accent blankets may be less expensive so when I'm tired of the color scheme, I can just change the blankets!

Can you post pictures? How is the light? Do you need curtains?

I seem to recall a designer using what was called "Paris Winter". The exact name and make escape me however... It was a beautiful whitish- pale blue with a hue of steel grey which had modified from the original color.

If you decide to keep the wall color, but are sick of the brown, why not go lighter and use whites instead like this?
