I think you should post some more pictures. That picture is probably the most unflattering view of your nice house. It makes the garage door look exaggerated, which it probably isn't in person. Everything depends on your budget, of course, but without spending too much money (like changing the roof and exterior materials), which I am certainly not qualified to give opinions about, I would think about creating a wider, more substantial and nicer walkway to the front door. A couple of pretty planters on either side of the garage, and larger light fixtures would go a long way. Im sure you could do something else with that post. Let's wait for experts!

I meant "the post" referring to the skinny roof support post on your front walkway.

These houses were called California (Florida) (Southwest) ramblers and were built in 1960's and 1070's. They are also being referred to as Mid Century modern now. They were also very popular here in North Alabama. If you google those terms you will find a lot of examples. We have the same pitch roof without the gable. Our neighbors have the gable in various forms.

By the way, from what I have read, the tile roofs are considered a plus in Florida.
