My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Edits to my Aug 7th post above were no longer permitted on Aug 15th. This seems to be de rigueur.

      OK I can edit my OP for perhaps less than two hours. How long can I edit my reply?

      ~22hrs

      ~2 days (rounded down)

      -Friday

      -Saturday

      -Sunday

      -Monday 0800hrs [The edit option stills appears. It seems sometimes, after about a week the option appears but 'submit' don't work.] So far it is still editing.

      At least one day. I edited a post that was posted the day before once.

      Also, each time you edit your reply, the counter may start over, so if it is set for 24 hours, then it might start over each time...just a thought.

      I have a comment that was posted Thursday the 3rd at 1:36PM.

      It is now Tuesday the 8th, 1:15 AM.

      Four and a half days and I can still edit (or delete) that one.

      Maybe it's longer if its the very last post in a thread?

      Edit: Wed the 9th at 2:10PM and I can still edit last Thursday's post.

      Edit2: Thu the 10th at 6:40PM. I still had the edit button earlier today, past 1:36PM even. But now the button is gone. The 1:36PM time stamp time appears to be PST? Anyway, my guess is that I lost the ability to edit at about 4:36PM, one week after making the post. At least for the last post in a thread.
