Julia Child, Veterans' Honor and Dick Clark all hold up to the sun, heat and humidity very well for me. Julia and Dick are both pretty healthy but VH not so much.

Veterans Honor for me is the absolute king of lasting in the heat. Extraordinary substance, keeps its size well, holds its color, and the blooms hold its shape longer than anything. By the time one flush finishes, the next has started.

I second Marilyn Monroe. Thickest petals I've ever seen. Pink Promise is also pretty good.

I don't know of any thick petalled roses...but I want to see what everyone else thinks. :)

Ben I was going to try Veteran's honor but heard it gets black spot ?

I would say Veteran's Honor's disease resistance is good for a hybrid tea, but won't measure up to a Kordes or Knock Out. Not any worse for blackspot than some of the other HTs on your list that I grow too...PJP, Firefighter, Gemini. And like those roses, it has very good vigor .
