I have home with a couple of narrower areas requiring smaller casing. can you recommend proportion for doorways that can only accomodate 2 1/2 inch casing that would coordinate
re with using larger casing for bigger entrances like you posted?

If constrained by narrow passage, I recommend casing from wall to wall with flat material.

what size casing did you use for doorways to bedrooms or closets? same 1x6 with 1" back build up ? if use narrower flat piece would you alter the build up size? and thank you so much for your input.
