Where to end counter and backsplash?

Our original design had cabinet, counter and tile backsplash out to end of the wall. This is how it ended up- (about 3 inches short). Does this look odd to people, or intentional? Options are to leave as is, or put a filler in cabinet and redo countertop to end of wall, or put bullnose tile all the way out and down to baseboard. I am going back and forth on it. Appreciate input, thanks!

This is example of another area of kitchen where counter doesn't go all the way to end of wall due to doorway trim - another idea I had was to add trim to the area all the way up to ceiling and capping off top to look like "column" that matches rest of trim.

thanks!
