This is prework - confirming your house will be valued enough that the bank will want to fund it, and that you have enough funds to start the project.

Be AWARE of how cost to complete really works - you need ALOT of credit, im talking 50-100k if doing all the work yourself, or else you are going to pay a fortune in draws. We used a GC for most of the work, but we still needed about 30+k in credit to make purchases, etc.

No. I have a GC. I live in East Texas and the cost to build is nowhere near as high as other areas/states. I've seen post on here where people were building $800k plus houses....Not the case here lol!!!! Mine is a little over $200k My bid and everything has already been turned in to bank. Income, credit and bank account is in excellent shape according to the bank I am using.

Construction loan approval generally takes about 60 days from application date. That is assuming you turned in all your paperwork. Good Luck!
