Hanging a curtain (room divider) for angled A-frame ceiling

Hi :)

I am trying to hang a heavy curtain at the end of a hallway to close off a room (without having to build a wall and door). The problem is that the ceiling is flat at the center (about 4 feet wide) then begins to angle down (like a typical a-frame house). Ideally I'd like to have a continuous curtain track or rod that runs across the flat part of the ceiling as well as down the angled part of the ceiling.

When open, the curtain would bunch up at the angled part of the ceiling/track, but could be pulled closed to cover the entire hallway/opening.

I can't seem to find a flexible or angled track system. Any ideas from the community would be greatly appreciated! I have taken a photo and made a few amature mark-ups to hopefully better describe my dilema.

I don't know how you could possibly pull a curtain that is the height of the horizontal portion onto the slanted portion without the curtain puddling on the floor. The only thing that makes sense to me is to have a fixed panel with an anfled top on the slanted portion and a curtain that can draw on the horizontal portion. You lose some of the opening due to the stacking wisth of the draw curtain.

You may have to use two pieces of track or cut one. Country Curtains used to have them and other unusual hanging applications.

If you don't mind it bunching at the angled part, maybe you could just put track across the flat part of the ceiling and then have unmoving attachments beyond that...

@nosoccermom: I saw these, Thank you! If they would work for what I'm trying to do, I'm not sure how. It seems like the "flexible" feature allows for circular curtains or changing direction on a flat ceiling, but it wouldn't work to change the angle that it's hung from the ceiling (like in my situation). I could be missing something!

@decoenthusiaste This is exactly what I thought I could do, I'm just not sure if by cutting the track, or using two different tracks, the curtain would still flow smoothly where it breaks from the flat ceiling to the angled ceiling. Do you think it would?

I think the hooks on the angled part would pretty much have to be fixed or there would be a tendency for that part of the curtain to sag down to the right.

Hey Brian, I saw that you were trying to run a curtain divider acrossed an angled roof. I'm currently struggling to find a good idea as well. Did you ever find a solution?
