Sesleria autumnalis in warmer zones?

Does anyone know how Sesleria autumnalis would fare in direct sun in zone 7? It's a "cool season" European grass. I see where it's listed from zones 4-8, but I also see from Greenlee and Associates that it " is adapted to all but the hot desert and hot humid climates of the southeast."

Would this have to be placed in afternoon shade in 7b? Or could it handle full sun without looking awful? Still looking for a good full sun matrix plant after my Carex hopes were dashed.
