The bench and decals are what seems in excess here to me. Keeping the color scheme limited will keep the room from looking too busy; if you like red here I'd suggest removing the wall items, and adding red print curtains. The bench might look better in another part of the house, and placing the rug near the chair will make it look more intentional. Congratulations on your little one!

Agree about the bench and decals. Move the changing table / dresser to where the bench is. The art above the window is lost up so high. That area is where the drapery is the décor so add some drapery panels placing the rod about 2" from the ceiling and let the rod extend beyond the window at least 12". Then the drapery panels can fall to the floor on either side of the dresser. Don't know how far you want to go with the overhaul but the dresser would be very cute painted a different color...
