The furnishings can work in the space, but the rug, is not working in the space. Replace all the small stuff on the walls with some large items that make a statement and add some lamps to make the space cozy.

The furniture looks fine to me. If it is in good condition, you can probably just buy new cushions to make the pieces match or blend better with each other.

I would rearrange. Put the loveseats perpendicular to each other and arrange the chairs next to each other. The primary loveseat (facing the view) should have end tables on each side.

I agree that a new rug would make a big difference.
