My cabinet wall in 2-3” in from the rest of the non-cabinet wall. This is where my cabinets end. That wall can be extended if need. But what I do here, can effect the upper wall cabinet.

My cabinet wall in 2-3” in from the rest of the non-cabinet wall. This is where my cabinets end. That wall can be extended if need. But what I do here, can effect the upper wall cabinet. I gave bird’s eye view & face view. I color coded the walls just for you. In reality the cabinet wall (light blue color) will have a light backsplash, and the non-cabinet wall (dark blue) will be painted a light color. Please look at both views.

Light blue is cabinet wall.

Dark blue is non-cabinet wall that is 2-3” out from the cabinet wall.

Orange is the base cabinet or wall cabinet.

Black is representing the counter hangover.

This is top view, bird’s view.

Should Counter hang over & meet the dark blue wall that is 2-3” out (pict 1)?

Or should counter hangover meet the light blue wall that is where cabinet is attached? (pict 2)?

Can I have 1/8” or ¼” or ½” counter hang over on the side? This is a dishwasher panel

In pict 1 there may be a bit of light wall showing next to wall cabinet & backsplash only.

I could paint it to match the (dark blue) wall.

In pict 2 there would be more of the light wall showing by the wall cabinet, backsplash, & base.

Again I could paint it to match the dark Blue wall.
