you can also repurpose an old buffet, a trunk, lots of things..doesn't have to be a console per se

ah..and don't get alarmed if a price's too high..these are just examples. I myself usually check local Craigslist first...and check it again..:)

Of course one needs to have time to do that and means to transport it, But second hand can be very interesting, cool, and affordable choice.

and that's how you go, thing by thing, trying to figure out-which colors you're drawn to more? which shapes? lines? you don't need to repeat them exactly in your other things. but chances are whatever you like will bear similarities. some inner sense. And your concept starts taking shape.

Or. You start with your inspiration, a concept. And go from there.

PS if you have space for two side tables-I'd do another small chair maybe instead of a side table, make it float a bit..and then maybe something very slim or small in between..like a garden stool maybe or something? If no space-I'd rather put a floor lamp, a plant, etc. It's a small space. If every piece of furniture you bring can have some additional storage, like a coffee table with a lower shelf, or a side table that can be additional sitting-the better.

Well the pic i posted was for the living room part I was going to designate. The space is actually pretty large for living space. but I want a gym area and mediation space, office and still need dining area. The bedroom is roomy and I can put the mediation space in there I believe.

I love both chairs, especially the first one(probably because I'm also into warmer oranges?) and think they'll be great with gray

table, i love slightly less, I love it being partially transparent but worry about the surface(will it be pleasant to touch?) and the lack of additional shelf..although I realize one can't have it all

I'd start with a console since you need it more or should I say you need it faster. Unless you see a table you're hundred percent sure about-then just disregard. And grab it. lol. sometimes we just see and know.

no worries about tying colors. On your inspirational pics you can see orange next to gray..wood next to metal..wood and white in the same room..all works. Because every new color or material is repeated somewhere. In a prominent or subtle way.

The easiest is to get a rug(said she who doesn't have a rug yet lol)/ pillows/maybe even small piece of furniture like a garden stool/ceramics (say a pot for a plant) that will have your colors already in it

I'll try to dig some examples for you..again disregard a price if you'll see it..it's all very theoretical level. and I'll keep your inspiration pictures in mind.

and tapestry from Etsy..I've no idea what has to be in meditation area but if has to be separated somehow-I liked the idea..

now if to be completely frank-I'd go with more white and a tad of black in a rug, if you decide on an orange chair. I'd want bigger surface to be lighter in your case. But we don't know what chair you'll pick, so.

Having said that-the rug before last I can see in your place the best if going for stronger rug..

The pillow I'm not sure is the best fit for your room-love the color combo though. perfection.

And my favorite, out of everything I posted, is the ceramic chair

(and an orange plaid since I have the same in lilac..they're very very soft. They're like a cloud)

I asked because all your inspiration pictures have large/several windows. Personally, I'd use the area with the large windows where I'd put my sofa and dining/office in the windowless part of the room.

i looked very swiftly through two or three sites..obviously there are tens and hundreds more..:) as it was evening and I was tired I chose sites with less rugs..as not to become too overwhelmed you know? since it's just an idea level yet

obviously when searching for something specific I'll go throough everything I know(which is a lot of sites) and will be painful..)) since pages upon pages of things..
