Adding a Bistro set would be nice. They come in a multitude of colors. It would give a little height, but stay under the window, give you a place to sit when your having to watch that little guy outside, have your morning cafe and nicely fill the area without crowding. You could add some plants for color on the table top and steps along the side, some landscape lighting along the path with a couple of directional lights pointed up to showcase your porch at night.

A potted plant would work except area appears to be shady so your options are limited. Adding anything more might bring to light how small the area is. It might be better to spend time, effort, money in the curved area of your walkway. Looks like you already have some nice, well cared for shrubs. Add some showy annuals and make it the focus vs the tiny porch

ETA: there is a common misconception that just b/c a space is small, it is easier to decorate. On the contrary, it is harder b/c you have to make it tastesful w/o looking crowded; not an easy task.

How deep is the porch? Do you envision actually sitting there?

I have a small front step (not covered), with a single Adirondack chair and a planter. I do sit out there with a book.

If there isn't room for a chair, perhaps a nice hanging flower basket between the posts. In the winter you can hang a bird feeder.
