Plants for better curb appeal (narrow garden)

Hi! I'm looking for some ideas to enhance the curb appeal of my front gardens. I have this quite narrow garden (about 3 feet in depth) in front of my house. Unfortunately, I can't expand due to placement of interlock so I'm stuck with it for now. I have a few hostas and some other small perennials (a sedum, a dianthius, etc.). The hostas are new so I do realize that they will need a couple of years to grow, but the gardens still look so bare since you can't see any plants from the street.

Any suggestions for small shrubs that don't require too much room or other plants that could add some height for better curb appeal? Or am I stuck with what I have?

The bed is under a bit of an overhang but still manages to get quite a bit of rain. It gets the morning sun for about 4-5 hours and is mostly in the shade in the afternoon. Located in zone 5.
