Need ideas for living room decoration

We have a living/media room. We added a built-in below where the 65-inch TV is located. Need decorating ideas for this wall. Whether to add some floating shelves or shelving. I will be getting new furniture so I'm also wondering what colors should I go with the current wall paint.
