Don't do a white house. You want some contrast between windows and the rest. Modern can be many things..... Farm style, mid century etc. Who could answer? Nobody. Try Google

By nature a modern house has a more stark look than a traditional house but I agree use a color for the siding that highlites the windows or even a mix of materials

We were running out of money on our own reno and the black windows we hoped to get were the first to go. We didn't actually liked white frames, but had no choice. We went with the slimmest frame possible and did white corrugated siding mixed with stained cedar. White siding minimizes the contrast and blends the frames in. It looks good. I didn't want to end up with the look that Patricia posted, as I really didn't want the white to stand out. But if you actually like the white the above will work.

I believe that some companies are offering grey windows at the same price as white if black are too stark. If you go with white windows, just add some warmth by adding stone or wood - it really depends on your style of home as well and your architect or builder may have some suggestions. Landscaping will also make a big difference.

Is it being powder coated or anodized? for the 10-30% mark up.

Hello @Reach Design . What was the thickness of the white windows you used for your home? We are planning on using plygem 1500 series which is were their frame thickness is 2-7/8. Do you think this is a good option? Our facade is white and we are running out of budget and hence resorting to white windows. Please do let me know your thought! Would highly appreciate it!

@Rukmani Vijayakumar I can't remember the series now, but I picked the thinnest one available locally. I might have been 400 series
