Eye level is the rule of thumb, but given the distance from sofa to tv I don't think your tv will be too high

Mine is similar in height and I like it.

Sit on your sofa and measure from the floor to your eyes. That is your ideal height for your TV. How big is your TV?? that comes into the equation as well. Good luck!

Or sit on your sofa and stare at a spot on the wall that marks the center of the screen. Will your neck ache after a few minutes? The farther you are from the TV, the less your neck has to tilt, so you may find it comfortable enough.

The biggest mistake people make is getting a console that is too short. Make sure it's long enough so that it doesn't look top heavy.
