I’m wanting to use an ottoman instead of a coffee table with my sectional instead of what you see in the picture now, that coffee table is my moms and I’m going to sell it. Not sure on colour of ottoman and round or square, tufted or not tufted, the sectional is actually a brownish gold in Color, it’s hard to tell in the picture , I’m going to be buying a cuddle chair large round one to place on the leftt hand side of the sectional and it’s going be ivory in Col, also we are building a stone fireplace high up to the ceiling and it will be beiges and a little darker beiges in color. Any suggestions On Ottoman?

I've had both tufted and not. Tufted is a more traditional look, but those tufts gather dust and need frequent vacuuming. Smooth is a more modern look.

We have a non-tufted smooth ottoman in the same leather as our sofa, a medium caramel brown color. Purchased it from the same manufacturer. I don’t think I would have liked tufted.

Combo with trays and you have best of both worlds.

Tufts are a pain to clean! For sure. Especially for a top surface.

Tufted = lots of vacuuming with the crevice tool. LOTS.

Yes, tufts are a pain to keep clean. And God forbid if there is a spill of something sticky.

Agree no tufting a lot of work..... Round looks best an L shaped sectional IMO.

Oops, appears you have a chaise on the sectional so the space is small for a table. I'd still go with a round.

Pick a color you love. Accent color. Turquoise? Salmon? Those go nicely with golden, need brightness. Not plum or dark purple. A large round ottoman in the color you choose and sprinkle that color in some pillows and artwork. You have the neutrals covered with brown and beige. Have fun! Beware of pinky beige with yellow though (in your new stonework). Your tile surround around the fireplace, it's too pink from what I can tell.

The tile surround is coming off, it’s all going to be stone rustic look

    thank you for your feedback

I’m thinking of finding a burnt rustic Orange ottoman since there will be a large round cuddle chair in cream Color then I’ll add a burnt orange throw to hang on it.

I’ve never lik d the turquoise color

I'm voting for the tufted ottoman to provide texture and dimension to the space

Tufted is too traditional for your space. And then because of the chaise extension on your sectional, and because of all of the hard rectangular lines of the sectional, I would do a round coffee table. And because of all of that leather, I would do it in a metal with a glass top.

Burnt orange is a nice color. I like the color of your flowers in your living room photo. I love the salmon/orangey color too.
