Good grief - did people not read the survey the other week on how to post dilemmas? It wouldn't matter if you put 2 or 102 posts on a dilemma, there will still be people who will jump in with their "correct" ideas and lead the thread off onto other tangents. It is up to the poster to keep the discussion on track, there is nothing wrong with politely replying thanking a commenter for a suggestion, but it isn't quite what I'm looking for, or I wanted to avoid that colour.................. whatever". Of course it will be ignored because many don't read a thread fully, but I have been involved in many threads where I have made suggestions only to find out it was established on another thread that this wasn't possible or wanted and I'm left feeling the goose because I wasn't aware of the other thread. You don't upset people you are asking for help.

And Madeline - regular posters here who know from long experience what works and what doesn't DO use the Royal WE because these things are discussed many times over.
