Hi,

I am looking to add recessed lighting fixtures (4" Gimbal GU10 cans - already have them) to my living room but, I am struggling a little with placement. The room has somewhat of an odd shape, so keeping things aligned in a traditional grid is proving difficult as I am aiming to use these more as task / wall wash for artwork and let the bounce be the ambient lighting.

I have uploaded both a traditional "grid" layout as well as my more task oriented plan but am struggling with everything being somewhat free floating.

Task / Wall Based Layout - Centered on west windows and wall sections.

Please share your thoughts and suggestions.
